guys i need help again as usual, while i was planning my EXTREEEEEEEEEMEEEE tight budget pc, i came across something,,,,,

there is a listing: 

ECS H61H2-MV Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard

 

in that it was given that it supports upto 16gb of ddr3 ram, but when i checked on amazon, it says it only supports upto 8 gigs of ram, i searched google for an answer and it shows 16 gig itself

I WANT TO KNOW ITS TRUTH, IM WASTING MY TIME IM ACTUALLY IN MIDDLE OF MY ONLINE CLASS LUL......

Always just check the manufacturer website, who says 16GB if you have an Ivy Bridge CPU (3rd gen) and I assume 8GB if you have a Sandy Bridge CPU (2nd gen):

im going for an i5 2400, can it get 16gig ram?

Is it Ivy Bridge? If yes, then yes. If no, then no.

The i5 2400 is 2nd gen, which according to the specification page and manual of this motherboard does not have compatibility with 16GB of RAM.
