I find that gas cars are not superior in every situation.  For in city commuting for example electric cars kinda kick ass.  You can’t reach high speeds but acceleration is useful.  The trips are short so there’s no hurry to charge it which you can do with a standard 110v outlet, so while doing that is very slow it doesn’t matter.  And the fuel is sooooo much cheaper.  Even the shorter range cars have way more than enough range to do that.  The big failing is long trips.  You want to drive cross country it’s quite problematic.  It’s not totally impossible but it’s not easy.  I can drive about an hour to something and back, and have done so, but it took a day and a half to recharge on 110v. The other thing they’re not great at is towing.  You want to tow a big boat it uses a lot of power so a shorter range trip is effectively a longer range trip.  Another that can be very bad is apartment buildings.  You’ve got to have an “outdoor” outlet to charge a car.  So basically they’re more limited.  If you don’t tow with it though and you only travel in town and you own your own home, or at least can rent a garage with a light in it, electric cars can be great. There would be an argument for a hybrid car if you want to do those things.  I don’t think gas cars will ever completely go away barring battery advances.  If you could recharge a car in even an hour though the long trip thing would go away (the towing thing wouldn’t though)  There is a lot of room for electric cars to grow though.  electric cars may spell a resurgence of trains.  They’re incredibly efficient. 
If these graphene batteries work out electric cars will both be cheaper than gas cars and the long trip problem will go away because they can charge very quickly assuming you can get a big enough power outlet.  The video chose a thing electric cars are not good at: long rang track racing.  That is not something that is relevant to 99% of people though.  It’s so rare I didn’t even include it in the disadvantages.   There are car races electric cars are better than gas cars at like pro solo, which is run on an incredibly tight windy track.  So tight in fact that it is often marked off with road cones and it doesn’t work to have cars abreast so it is run against a clock.  cars rarely even reach 100mph because they’re basically always turning.  Missing the line is known as “cone pooping” because you will run over a cone and it emerges out of the back fender lik the car is relieving itself.

This could be used to make worthless photographic evidence in court or to create video with invisible people.  This makes lying easier.  Video can no longer be trusted.  The next step is finding a way to detect when this is being done.
