Go to solution Solved by Haro,

afaik the bt is just bad, so an upgrade is advised, but to answer your question, a 450w should be more than enough if it's a good 450w.

also if you are switching platforms either way, wait for zen 3, or get zen 2 or comet lake, this platform is not good and it wont get updated, so dont bother with it.

The BT is a low-end PSU meant for low-end systems, as in it's not meant to run a system like what you have now even. I'd definitely look to upgrade it.

Don't get a 9600K though, it makes literally zero sense to buy one today.

You need a better quality power supply with proper protections and quality components.

Something like the Be Quiet Pure Power Gold or Cooler Master MWE Gold

You don't need more than 450W, you need a higher quality PSU.

Some good units would be the be quiet! Pure Power 11, Cooler Master MWE Gold, Corsair TXM and the Seasonic Focus GX/GM.

Yes, that'd be a very good choice considering your components.
