Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Clicking on the status update box

 

What happened?

It won't let me type anything

 

What did you expect to happen?

Letting me type a status update

It appears to be an issue with the recent activity box that displays on the right panel on the home page.

You can post status updates from your profile page or from the user drop down menu and selecting Update Status, both of which appear to be functioning correctly.

Is it working for you now? Clearing the server caches is often the solution here, and after clearing them it seems to be working for me. I'm currently investigating some other weirdness, which may be related but I suspect is actually a Firefox beta bug.
