Making my own case to accommodate 6x 480mm XE rads and 2x 240mm XE rads

Yep, the case is based upon existing case, I just modified the design and made my own.

Sticking 6 rads inside is literally impossible. I would not be able to connect ANY of them when it comes to pipe work. 

 

I'm still in a process of "beautifying" it. I need to order some cable wraps etc.

i think when i build a case from scratch  i probably would have spent just a bit more time to plan it out.  i mean you could just drill more hole's? you could dangle the 2 240 rads and connect them last or something. or just connect them in a different order.

anyway don't want to be negative or any thing so last post about it.

No worries. It works excellent. I had 7980XE and it was overheating at 1.3V couldn't keep it there at all, and it had LM and copper top. This one is just stock and temps are much lower.

 

I want to flip fans to see if that will maybe drop it down further, as it's in pull config and maybe push will do it justice.

 

It took me 4 months to do, so I knew what I was doing. Can't stick them on the inside, so outside was the only option. Then the rads are ultra long so they have to go along the case and not standing, sticking up. Inside looks very clean, each loop is a mirror reflection of another so that's good.

 

The only thing I don't quite like is how the cables for fans are dangling but I will be sorting that soon also. Just waiting for 3090 to be released and bam.

ya i was looking at the pic agane and noticed the the bottom 2 rads could not go in as it will interfer with the mb tray so there really no point. but i do think drilling more holes and adding the fans on the inside a good idea. also got me thinking what if you flip it and put the bottom to the top and fliped the mb tray to its on top and hard to say if the bottom rads would fit in side hard to tell.

 

funny i ran in to a ram problem i down graded from an z270 sabertooth mark 1 to z170sabertooth mark one just because that me... any way the ram i had 3000mh dom plats would not run on it for w/e reason and keep messing up when i got to the desk top and it finally failed to even boot it. i did get some blue screen and did say something about ram.

anyway i have no idea what to to but i finaly found on how to manule down clock it...

There is screw holes existing for motherboard (there is no motherboard tray, the case has the stand offs built in) so that's sadly not possible. But access is actually easy it's really not a problem. Since tubing is flexible and there is slack, I can just unscrew a rad and do what I want inside and then close it back up.

I gotcha now. Hmmmmmmm I'd need to think about this. It's not too bad of an idea, but I'd need to know how to run the pipes to the block and so on when motherboard is exposed etc.

ya could add a 2 panel mount fittings that look cool. question were dose the gpu go how dose that attach?

I added a piece of aluminium to attach the GPUs inside the case already, so yeah that's a bit of a dilemma.

i think the difference from push vs pull is like maybe 1 degree if that. push pull is the best and adding a shroud might get another 1 degree.

this is my rad (dose have another set of fans on it for push pull) the shrouds i was not going to spend $12usd per fan shrouds so i got some $2.50 fans off ebay and cut the fan out. i wanted ones that could take 5mm leds on the side too. (i did attempt to add rgb leds but its was honorably... if i did want to add rgb ied add a strip around the shrouds. but i have corsair fans in front for the BLING and dark side darkside gentle typhoons in the back. the be quiet silent wings 2 mounting were such a pain i replaced the fans.

 

side note i dint buy the "shrouds" for this build i all ready had them from my lats build) i had them and all ready had the longer screws from my insane old pc

Yeah I was thinking if that makes sense. I have 3000 RPM fans and I calculated, according to diagrams from EKWB site that I will only lose about 2 degrees which is fine to be fair.
