Making my own case to accommodate 6x 480mm XE rads and 2x 240mm XE rads

So far this is the progress:

 

Ordered the company to laser cut stainless steel for me, bought aluminum pipes to create top frame for the mining basic case that I bought. No holes in it etc, very DIY.

 

Then I will spray it all black. 

 

Currently sprayed with grey paint as a base and then black will go on top. Perhaps I will powder coat it all!

Wow thats a lot of rads, any specs? Also what are you going to use it for?

Why that crazy amount of cooling? Looks neat tho. Just a heads up but if you do intake through a rad the air will be at almost the same temp of the fluid inside the rads so any rad that uses the heated up air to cool will basically not provide any cooling.

3x 480mm for just the CPU 10980XE, and 3x 480mm and 1x 240mm for 2x 3080 Tis when they come out.

I am almost certain you could eliminate half of the rads and only increase like 1°C lol.

Want stuff to run at ambient. Before I had 32-34C on GPUS want it lower now.

Cable combs straight to components smallest ever zip ties. Industrial looking overall.

 

Case main part was made by hand and plates in 2D Design.

I hope that industrial looking isn't going be euphemism for poor cable management  At least you can't say that you don't have enough space anymore lol, how many liters is this case going to be when its done?

Quick calculation puts the inner portion at 84 liters ish. Do you intend on putting the radiators on the inside or the panels? or are they meant to be mounted on the outside.

 

Edit: I suppose based on the cutouts, its going to be on the outside with the radiator ports facing inwards, so on the outermost layer you will have fans?

Not sure where you got the 84 liters from lmao. 

 

But I just looked up how many liters of water it's gonna contain. 

Each 480 holds 450ml and the 240 has 290ml, resulting in just under 3 Liters of water alone, lol.

Rads on the outside yes.

738 mm x 300 mm x 380 mm = 84132 cm^3. 

And in case you are scratching your head now, case volume is calculated in liters, and has nothing to do with the fluid for watercooling.

Huh you're right, didn't look like the thing was that much longer than the 480 rad but apparently it is.

You can expect 1-2 degrees improvement using the magnitude vs another cpu block (e.g. heatkiller iv, ekwb velocity).

 

Do you know what your fluid temperatures were previously? Do you intend on including a fluid temperature sensor if you didnt previously?

Don't plan on adding temp sensor. No clue what they were before. Videos on YT promise 5-7C drop as long as I use right inlet outlet.

Exactly yeah, and each component is seperately cooled so it should be better.
