New to pc and need help

NathanP

Budget: I want to keep it under $1700 US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Modern warfare, red dead 2, ark, breakpoint, wreckfest, new assassin’s creed, and other AAA games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want it to have wifi and Bluetooth and be portable because I switch between houses every week so I want to bring it with me and have at least 2tb of faster storage i was looking in to portable cases and like the nzxt h210i so if that’s used that would be nice but am open to other cases

Thanks in advance

Normally ASUS' Strix X570-I is only about $30 more expensive than the B550-I, but it is quite a lot better than the B550-I overall. It didn't make the list since at the moment it's marked up by almost $100, but I'd remain on the lookout for it if you're not buying right now.

Also, I've got to admit that I'm not super familiar with ITX cases, I just know that the SG13 is quite a good pick overall, and someone around this forum is also quite a fan of it (*cough* @Fasauceome *cough*) so I just went with it. So if someone with a little more knowledge when it comes to ITX chimes in, that'd be great.

I had a laptop before and I want to get a desktop because I wasn’t a fan of a laptop and plan on upgrading it more and not buying a whole new one

here is a itx case that i have heard good things about. Could not find any on PCPP. Honestly a laptop is the way to go for your use case as speaking from experience lugging round a pc and monitor it a massive pain in the ass.

edit= changed the psu.

@NathanP I suggest either a 120mm radiator, a 120mm fan in front, or both (if you get a skinny radiator. This particular selection should allow you to fit an extra fan of your liking as intake, and it looks pretty great with an LED fan up front (I suggest avoiding anything too RGB, unless you love the rainbow look)

You could also try to squeeze this in and remove the water cooler, using this card's radiator as intake

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
