Bluetooth Issue on Win 10

Go to solution Solved by Fayzan,

just to update this thread : the bluetooth issue was persistent. so i opted for an external plug-n-play bluetooth 5.0 adapter from a known local electronics store! so far no major issues. only once cause my brother and i have the same adapter cause he also suffers from a bluetooth issue (wifi disconnects when BT connected).

we both had our bluetooths on in the same room and that caused it to interfere with both of our connected devices. so had to restart it. overall it's pretty solid

i've been running into stutters and audio lags on all my bluetooth devices. checked online for solutions

1 : sitting close to a 2.4GHz router causing interference - yes i was, i moved away from the router to another room but still persists

2 : re-pairing devices : been there, done that. didn't work.

3 : reinstalling drivers : i'm not sure how to do it, and slightly scared if i should do it or not, considering that i may or may not get the required drivers for reinstalling.

using an Intel i5-4210M

pls help..

Im going to wait for a solution here, I've also noticed this just recently (past week or so)
Although one thing sometimes helps for me, try turning airplane mode on and back off, or whenever your doing anything offline, try turning your wifi off (not just disconnect, turn it off)

could it be a problem from Windows' end then? because it's not just w one bluetooth device, it's on all of them. ran my buds and my neckband on Android 13, and they work just fine!

posting my windows versions below!

this didn't work for me. i am doing a LinkedIn course which requires me to have my headphones on, so i don't have a choice

if this doesn't fix, then i might have to consider getting a USB-A to 3.5MM jack converter. proprietary 3.5MM jack doesn't work on this laptop!

If the BT devices work with your phone in the same place as the laptop, it might not be a BT problem as such. I was going to write stuff about range and positioning but it seems less likely now.

Do you have other types of sound devices you can check with the laptop? I'm wondering if the problem is there somewhere instead. Got any other sound devices that connect by a method other than BT?

As for drivers, the CPU is pretty old so presumably the Bluetooth is also. If BT uses an Intel chipset then Intel DSA can scan for and offer updates for many Intel based devices. Most commonly GPU, Bluetooth, Wifi.

nope. 3.5MM jack is busted on this laptop. so no other devices that i have run other than 3.5MM or BT.

Reboot and try again? If it finds nothing to update, then you might as well uninstall it afterwards as it isn't helping.

Get another cheap USB corded headset maybe? Doesn't hurt to have a backup anyway.

like i said before, my 3.5MM jack on my laptop is busted, it doesn't recognize any devices and outputs only on the speakers. that's the reason i was using BT. only option for me now is to buy a cheap USB-A to 3.5MM converter.

solution, kinda : try disabling your bluetooth driver and re-enabling it. it worked for a few seconds then it's back to normal w the stutters and lags.
