Routing Ethernet Upstairs??!

In my house, the internet modem has to be mounted downstairs because of the DLS connector in the room. But i want to get ethernet upstairs in my room. My room is right above the room with the modem. I don't want to drill a hole in the ceiling for some ethernet passthrough. So any ideas for fast ethernet upstairs without any cables running down the hallway?

Can you run it in the walls?

 

Do you have coax in your house? Try moca if you do.

If you want ethernet you'll have to live with a cable somewhere... Powerline is the other option, but a bad one.

I do have coax running from bottom to top. Could try it.

Depends on wiring, often worse than wifi, esp if your directly above. A good wifi setup with a single wall should be pretty fast(>500mbit with high end access point and client)

This is your best option, and should give you gig speeds.

That would be perfect, since im using a gigabit modem.
