IEC is a standards organisation, there's multiple cables they have standards for. There's at least 13 variants in the household appliance standard.

Kettle leads are C15, not the C13 that power supplies typically use, and IEC is a standards organisation, they have multiple standards, including IEC 60320, which the C15 connector/cable is a part of.

Hey guys I’ve never built a pc before and my power supply came today with no cable, anyone know what the cable is called and how much it is thanks :)

Which cable are you specifically talking about?

Do you mean the cable between your power supply and the wall socket/outlet? That would (usually) be a C13 cable, also known as a 'kettle lead' (<- mainly in Europe/UK it is know like that)EDIT: oops, it's not called a kettle lead.

It would look sort of like this:

image.png.c17fe1c61dc7ad9e3d633aa003926305.png

(Of course the left side being your local outlet style).

There are PSU's that sometimes use a bit of a different style, but 99% of PSU's use that cable.

If you didn't mean that cable, please do let us know what you exactly mean.

P.S. if you bought this PSU new, you should definitely contact the store you bought it from, as you received an incomplete product.

They are like $3

They are C13 to Nema5-15 (if you're in the US) cables if you want to get technical but just power cable will get you what you need:

If you say to who you bought it from the power supply was missing the power cable.

They will know what you mean.

You already paid for it don't pay twice.
