too bad its pny :(

meh. I wouldn't worry much about the brand. As long as the cooler doesn't get super hot or loud (which it doesn't, I checked reviews for their coolers and they are actually quite good). The card itself is probably made in the same factory as some other brands anyway, so the failure rates shouldn't be an issue at all.

For the price actually your right, probably worth it. I've had a bad experience with pny is all, it was a few years ago.. just left a sour taste in my mouth.

can't open the link because of country restriction and I'm on my laptop and too lazy to download a VPN. but that's a great price. too bad that is around what we would pay for a 760 or the cheapest 770 you can get here in SA.

I think cheap pricing in the US has a lot to do with the scale. It's definitely by far the country that buys the most diy pc components so retailers are larger and are able to distribute costs more and buy in larger bulk quantities than in smaller countries.

and the fact that I think most of our brands like ASUS come from the American companies instead of directly from the manufacturing factories. that is why I think KFA2 is so much cheaper than other brands here (KFA2 is Galaxy's EU name)

I got my GTX 760 from them; it works great, and is near-silent. I have no reason to complain.

PNY is not bad. They are cheaper than other cards but they are reliable.

I have never thought of it that way but it makes sense. But I think there is still more to it than that. Import tax for one.
