Is It okay if i turn off my phone everyday?

Naul

I have been googling about this topic but i found nothing, so is it okay if i keep my phone turned off (power off) before i go to bed, in the aim of saving my battery life?

Or it has nothing to do with it?

Pancakes and Hell 🥞 , @Naul so i can notice ^^.

I always turn my phone off when sleeping and put it in the charger while sleeping as well to have 100% in the morning

If the phone is turned off with 50% when you should have 50% in the morning if you don't charge whereas if you leave it on sleep, some battery will drain

It's not going to make much of a difference. If you really want to maximize battery-life, you should instead keep the battery between 30% - 80%.

It's perfectly fine to turn off your phone at night. It clears the RAM, cools the CPU, and the phone is disconnected from cell towers and wifi, so there is no danger of radioactivity if you keep your phone near you in bed, and best of all, at least you won't get annoying notifications to disrupt your sleep : )

It won't help, but it won't hurt it either.

Lithium batteries have a finite life span based on recharge cycles (0-100%).

My problem with turning off the phone is the proverbial "call from a loved one at 2AM" issue... if there's something urgent, you won't know about it until the morning.  And at least on some platforms you can limit calls to urgent ones, so you won't have to deal with robocalls in the middle of the night.

So much wrong here. Don’t even know where to start.

Depending on the phone itself and software, there’s probably not going to be much difference either way. iPhones tend to do better in standby power consumption, but Android phones tend to be reasonable so long as nothing is wake locking.

Dunno about androids but iPhones have a thing where if you leave them to charge overnight they learn when you wake up so they charge at a rate So they hit 100% hurt before you get up.

No it won't damage anything. But I've noticed it sometimes messes up the battery calibration, meaning that maybe the reading is off by 7%.
