hdd vs ssd for storing games

I've moved to SSD game storage after getting frustrated by load times with hard disk. Even a cheap SSD is faster than the fastest hard disk. Of course, a cheap SSD is still more expensive per capacity, but SSDs around 1TB are very affordable now. You might not install your entire steam library on it (unless you have a very small library) but it is plenty to work with.

I have gotten an SSD for certain games, because I was tired of the longer waiting times and HDD noise.

In destiny 2 my loading time with a hdd is about 2 minutes. So unless you wan't that no.

Depends on storage capacity and all, some games will benefit more, I keep those on SSD. Like WoW, Star Citizen such open games with a lot of assets.

Depends on the game for me, some I keep on a 240GB SATA SSD, and some that I don't play as actively or not interested in the speed difference i'll put on a 2TB Disk,

 

Some games will be more utilised for SSD.
