amd sapphire RADEON RX 470 Dual-X Mining 8G for gaming...

so i got two amd sapphire RADEON RX 470 Dual-X Mining 8G gpus off of ebay and trying to flash is with the default 4708gb bios.

so it was set on the default bios 2+4

so what i did was open up gpuz and right clicked the save bios thing and renamed it and saved it.

then i got atiflash_274 extracted it and pasted the folder on my c drive.

download the Sapphire RX 470 8 GB Nitro

renamed it to rx470.rom and pasted it in the c drive atiflash folder

ran cmd and oped as administrator

typed cd C:\atiflash_274

then typed atiwinflash -f -p 0 rx470.rom

and restart mp pc and well the screen when black....so i guess a bricked bios????

so then im like crap...well i flicked the bios switch from 2+4 to 2+3 and restart and go in to windows

so i then download the Sapphire RX 470 8 GB NITRO+ bios

renamed it to rx470.rom and pasted it in the c drive atiflash folder

ran cmd and oped as administrator

typed cd C:\atiflash_274

then typed atiwinflash -f -p 0 rx470.rom

and restart and i got to windows so no brick? but how do i no if it worked? i tried installing amd adrenaline Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.1 Optional Release Date 4/2/2020 and an error keeps pooing up failed to crate opengl context or format so on.

so uninstalled that and tried a later version Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.3.1 Optional Release Date 3/19/2020 still same problem so im guessing the flash did not work....

ant ideas?

Hello I had the same issue and I just resolved it!

Does your GPU have just a DVI output? I just recently bought a Sapphire Rx 470 8GB mining card of ebay (has only DVI output) I ended up finding a bios that worked. I attached the bios that I used. Here is the link to it... https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/195548/195548

I had to manually flash just like you have done. Once I flashed windows recognized it. I then installed the latest firmware from the AMD site.
