So, I'm supposed to be getting a new phone soon. Specifically this Friday. Of the options I was given, I was going to choose the HTC One.

The M8 would probably be out of my price range. However, the One might go down in price if I wait until the M8 is released.

What to do... What to do... A month without a phone (after this 2 week period already) would kind of suck.

Rumors has it that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S 5 before the end of February (possibly at the MWC which starts next week). If you're planning on buying a phone now then you should definitely wait for those two to be announced. I really hope at least one of them (preferably both) has the Snapdragon 805 (or in the case of the Galaxy S 5, Samsung's own ARMv8 based octa core SoC would be amazing).

I am really looking forward to what they got up their sleeves for this generation of smartphones.

I am actually very intrigued about this phone. I'm thinking of letting t-mobile buy out my contract with verizon sometime in the next few months.

I'm just hoping it has everything that I'm going to need in a phone. A great battery (I don't always have time to charge my phone between my two jobs), internationally unlocked (I travel avidly), and very very durable (I longboard and snowboard; it has to be able to take a beating without being in a damn case). If it meets my criteria I will be buying it as soon as humanly possible to replace my Razr Maxx

The telegraph featured this video today.

My mind can't fathom, is there anything more perfect?

That's just a fan made concept video.

I wonder what they will call it. They really screwed themselves over with their naming scheme. HTC One S? Already exists (and was a mid range device), HTC One two? Sounds stupid... HTC <completely new name>? Would remove a lot of they marketing recognition they built with the HTC One. HTC One (2014) doesn't sound great either.

What would be the point of a dual camera setup exactly?

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Rumors says that it will be used to be able to refocus images like the Lytro does. So after having taken the image, you can focus on some other part of it.

Here is a good example of it (might only work on a desktop). Just left click on the girl in the background and the image will be refocused on her.

Why?

Haha, just a render. Not the actual device. The screen resolution is wrong and I don't think they'll change the design much from the One (no microSD).

On a side note I'm just wondering what phones release around the summer... or what next generation ones (like the next iphone)

Lots. LG G3, Oppo Find 7, Sony Z2, Samsung S5, HTC M8, Nokia 1820, if you wait until Sept you have the Note 4.

next month? maybe, just MAYBE ill get one to replace my HTC One Xxx But it depends on the batteries. i saw some specs but i lost them :) what flavors does it come with?

It's supposedly coming in silver black and gold.

Also is there anything more impossible xD

4000mah xD HTC ? They would never ! :P

They SHOULD put in a 4000mah battery! Micromax can put one into a 115 euro phone, so should they. I don't think we'll see it though.
