[Unofficial LTT] NZXT H440 Owners Club

Hello! New here, I'm a regular viewer of this Youtube channel and stumbled across this page. I own a H440! So I thought I would share my build with you guys.

This is still a work in progress, next to be added is my own custom backplates! Which I removed my old custom ones when I installed the custom cables.

A quick mention, I make custom backplates and other PC parts! www.custom-acrylics.co.uk

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

it being EATX, just remember to remove the side portal grommets and use

electrical tape to line the forward edge of the motherboard's back-side to be

comfortable.

otherwise, great build.. what case color? blk/red, wht/blk or combo

(all black or red/wht)?

just ask nzxt for spare panels.. so if you have to sell, you have OE parts.

painting those plastic inserts is good for a little while, till the paint starts to

flake off and now it isn't a 10/10 build.. 4/10 at best.

paint only goes so far or the distance of looks grows.

And you do not have any problems after long time with the motherboard ? Everything was going well in the case with EATX board ?

ive got a support ticket on it and chatted to the sales rep to see if they can

support this through the armory. through newegg/ncix would be pointless.

going from red/blk to blk/blk.

Silverstone PP07 or Bitfenix Alchemy would be my first look for cables. Both are just extensions, but that's fine with an H440 since you can hide the actual cables under the PSU shroud. With that in mind, you can also get a custom cable set (albeit at a significantly higher cost), which would look better and would be sleeved using better material. (imo, Silverstone PP07/Bitfenix Alchemy extensions are the way to go).

d-rats.. currently, the panels are not for sale via nzxt, armory or distributors.

pretty much have to buy another case to scavenge the needed parts.

will only replace like parts for warranty related issues. and since the panels

are not serviceable, they wouldn't need replacing.

That's ashame; not that I really care, I doubt I ever would change to black/black from my black/blue build anyway.

I would say a very small majority of us changed the front intake fans out for something better; either static pressure optimized fans or fans that offer more silence. It's an additional cost and whether that cost is worth it for an individual is entirely up to their situation and noise tolerance.

Currently , the stuff i have changed from the stock configuration :

-rear exhaust fan was changed from the stock NZXT 140mm to a Scythe GlideStream ....

-in the top is the stock NZXT 140mm that was replaced at the back

-front currently is 2x NZXT stock 120s , and 1 GT AP-30 ( 4250RPM ) for the GPU , planning to put 2 more for all 3 AP-30s in the front

This helped the case quite a bit , if not a lot compared to the stock config ...

The Subwoofer

Ryzen 7 1700  /// Noctua NH-L9X65 /// Noctua NF-P14s Redux 1200PWM

ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming-ITX/ac /// 16GB DDR4 G.Skill TridentZ 3066Mhz

The cables to the GPU are awful, the PSU didn't come with a 8 pin connector so had to use 2 x 6 pin to a extension that came with the card. It doesn't look nice at all.

Specs:
