I dont even know! But i need help

ComputerPsych

So today i wanted to play some games on my old machine

Specs:

Intel core 2 duo E8400 Oc To 3.9ghz

4.5gb ddr2 800mhz ram

Nvidia geforce 9500 gt

240gb hdd

Asus P5QC Mobo.

And after some playin my screen started to look weird but it wasnt like my gpu was overheating it was something else. It looked like the pixels mixed and switched places with other pixels. I do not know how to explain. What should i do? It fixes aftee restart but comes back after some time. Ive cleaned everything and disabled all Overclocks still same thing. In games its horrible on dekstop i can see Screenshot_20200219-015856.thumb.jpg.bacbca5085c86ff3372ecbffa9e1d568.jpgsomething. It still responds to everything.received_496234111297693.thumb.jpeg.dfb8d323a7d8b72bc4dcfed7911f6518.jpeg

Have you tried uninstalling graphics drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and then reinstalling it? If that didint work it may be a hardware failure

System Stability? More like system unstability

If driver re-installation doens't work, then I would jump the gun and call it a half dead card.

I do not want to scare you but that GPU and build in genral is way over its livespan and i have seen some GPU's do this and die when yours already existed and was out of livespan.

Other than that, i'd safemode and DDU cleanly. If it wont help try to wipe the system drive and reinstall the OS. If that wont help try it in another system. If it persits it is a hardware problem.

How did you uninstall it? Desktop is normal or do you have an second GPU (iGPU)?

Edit: Did not see that you mentioned your cpu and the screen. Well, do the fans spin?

Well, it sounds like the gpu may have died when it tried to enter a non-driver driven mode, and it even sounds like it may have killed your motherboard. If you have intigrated graphics use those, be sure to disconnct the GPU, if you have another GPU, try that.

Maybe yo can get an used newer card, the old cards are power hungry monsters. NVidia 1000 Series are getting kinda cheap now.

I am not an electrical engineer but there was something with lines in PSU's, especially older ones. Are you sure that line can deliver the required power? Other than that, here. You could also solder that if you are technically savyy and a bit crazy.
