What Upgrades did you do on 2019 for your PC?

I build an entire new PC at the start of this year. Details are in my signature.

I switched to Mac briefly for job reasons but quickly found myself like a prisoner, unable to upgrade (besides RAM). So I returned the Mac and started from scratch with a PC.

Can't wait to apply some worthy upgrades in 2020. I'm interested in PCIe 4.0. We'll see.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - Nvidia RTX 3090 FE - Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32GB DDR4 3200MHz - Samsung 980 Pro 250GB NVMe m.2 PCIE 4.0 - 970 Evo 1TB NVMe m.2 - T5 500GB External SSD - Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (Wi-Fi 6) - Corsair H150i Pro RGB 360mm - 3 x 120mm Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition - 3 x 120mm Corsair ML120 - Corsair RM850X - Corsair Carbide 275R - Asus ROG PG279Q IPS 1440p 165hz G-Sync - Logitech G513 Linear - Logitech G502 Lightsync Wireless - Steelseries Arctic 7 Wireless

This year?  Umm.  I suppose you mean last year.

Ryzen 3600 (from Ryzen 2200G, which I only now even realize how weak it was)

Corsair LPX 3200 16GB (from Corsair LPX 3000 8GB,  I'm not seeing *any* difference at all tbh,  my PC has huge issues with video editing regardless of programs used and neither the 3600 nor the bigger faster RAM made a tangible difference)

Toshiba SSHD (the best update I ever did probably,  it's the best hard-drive I ever had I feel - theoretically the Samsung EVO should be better but I can't really say I notice much, for gaming this SSHD seems perfect from a price / performance standpoint)

2x Noctua Chromax intake fans (the best fans ever made, simply put, made my whole PC 10-20C cooler)

The direction tells you... the direction

I did a case sidegrade to the MetallicGear Neo Mini V2 to support a kinda-bad-value-and-not-worth-it GTX 1070 -> RTX 2070 upgrade. At least the card itself was only $355 (after tax/shipping; manufacturer refurb) and I netted $165 on the GTX 1070 flip on eBay.

Also added a couple of Noctua NH-P14s redux PWM fans, and an Intel 660P 2TB NVMe (PCIe) SSD because it was like $180 and I couldn't resist. ?

My buddy built a new rig, so I snagged his 16gb ddr3 ram for £15. It feels absolutely silly currently because my cpu is an i3 4130, but at least my system is ready for some decent multitasking when I -eventually- slot an i7 into it.  (a used 4770k is still £115 currently :/)

Someone gifted me an RX 5700 graphics card. I'm not spending money to upgrade anything else right now so it's being paired with my FX 8350. Let the bottlenecking begin!

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB

Did you get anything new this year for your PC or personal server or buy any new tech stuff this year? post em down below.

Upgraded my PSU to a Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold and at the end of the year began to buy parts for a new build.

I went from:

7600K --> 2700X

16gb 3000mhz --> 16gb 3200mhz

500gb SSD --> 1TB SSD

I carried my 750w power supply, GTX 1060 6gb, and my case over to the Ryzen build.

The 7600k, 3000mhz RAM, and 500gb SSD setup are going into an HTPC build with a GTX 960, for Minecraft, TF2, Counter-Strike, and other games that can run around 4k 60hz with that graphics card.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

I didn't do any upgrades on my PC.  I outright replaced it and went from a 3570k to a 3700x xD

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.
