GTX 860 Ti to compete with the GTX 780 (not official)

I said this before, when Kepler released, a GTX 660 Ti was beating an enthusiast-class Fermi GTX 580. And I was thinking that this will happen again - a GTX 860 or GTX 860 Ti to beat a GTX 780 or even a GTX Titan.

OK, before saying all these things are fake and raging all over the place, these are NOT OFFICIAL details that I got by researching and from a friend.

 

The GTX 860 Ti is supposed to replace the GTX 780. It may use a cooler similar to the GTX 780, GTX 780 Ti or GTX Titan cooler.

It will use a GM104 Maxwell chip, sadly 28nm. The base core clock is going to be around 950MHz, and the Boost clock is going to be around 1050MHz.

It will have 2GB or 3GB or even 4GB of GDDR5 memory on a 320-bit bus, clocked at around 7GHz. It will also have 24 or 32 ROPs.

Now, to compete with the GTX 780, it will have around 2084 CUDA cores, and will also support 4K.

For power, it will have two 6-pin power connectors, with a TDP of 180W.

For IO, it will have 2 DVI's, 1 HDMI and 1 Display-Port, similar to the GTX 780. 

It will support up to 3-way SLI.

 

Personally, even though Maxwell will still be 28nm, I am really excited for GTX 800 cards. How about you?  :)   :D

Thats because you have almost no improvement from 4 over 3 cards.

Well I said that I got these from some research on the internet and a friend. I wouldn't have initially believe that guy, but he knew the first Kepler specs before the release...  :D

Sure if you look at it that way, but, do you think Nvidia needs even more powerful GPU's so soon? I think if there is going to be a GPU in the GTX X60 (ti) regio it will most likely be the GTX 960 or what ever comes after that, AMD is still playing catch-up so Nvidia has no reason to launch new top of the line GPU's.

There my argument, try and topple it.

Yep but for balls to the wall you can't beat it. Im getting sick of Nvidia crippling cards of late with Voltage restriction and such.

So I guess Maxwell won't have its' own integrated ARM CPU of its own or will it still include that even though it will still be of the same chip size?

I've been waiting for GTX 800 series and have been holding off my GPU upgrade for its new technology -_-

The GTX 660 Ti does beat the GTX 580. You can check out some benchmarks on the internet or take a look at the performance sheet on here  ;)

Even my 660 ties with it in most games or even beats it.
