Very short lead. Excess plastic from the mould on the plugs and mic, and the volume thing looks terrible. They do seem rather fake.

If they work, it'd be silly to return them just because they are fake. It's not like you're going to find a "real" pair for $40 unless you're lucky and there is a sale.

That seems like an odd waste of time when they could be faking high end guitars instead... Oh well you learn something new every day.

I was surprised too, but thinking about it now in this day of easy mass sales on ebay, It's probably easier to make more money out of high volume sales on a low quality/cost imitation than it is to make fakes of more expensive gear that only sells half as much. Plus people are less likely to make a complaint to ebay/authorities about a $40 headphone than a $600 guitar.
