Forum banner not appearing

Go to solution Solved by colonel_mortis,

I think I've solved it - can you confirm whether it's working for you now?

The forum banner does not show up in the normal window, but shows up in a private window.

Normal window:

Private window:

Clicking "view background image" on the normal browser gives me a 404 error, while on the private browser, it shows the image.

Checking the URL, it appears that when "set resources" is set to 5, the error appears, but when it's set to 4, then the image appears. For some reason, they are set differently between normal and private windows.

URL from normal browser:

URL from private browser:

I'm using FF 70.0.1, extension: Adblock Plus & HTTPS Everywhere. Extensions are allowed to work when browsing privately.

Only difference that I know is the tracking protection, but adjusting it does not make a difference, from what I've seen at least.

Normal window tracking protection:

The difference between set resources 4 and 5 is day vs night theme. Can you post a sceenshot of the 404 error that you get with the night theme version, and also check whether it works if you go to https://linustechtips.com/main/uploads/set_resources_5/d0e70b4cbb9ab8afb1bc1065a3f8487a_header.jpg?nocache=1121977

Clicking the link you posted takes my to the same error page even when I open it in a private window.

I've identified the issue, but I'm struggling to find the root cause or a satisfactory fix. I am working on it though, and it will gradually start to affect more people until it is fixed.
