Choosing the right RAM

I am planning to buy a lot of new parts on Cyber Monday later this month and I have my eyes set on the MSI B450M Bazooka V2. I have a problem though. I can't seem to find a 16GB kit of RAM that is 3200MHz at 70-90 bucks that is officially supported by the board on their list. Should I take the risk and assume that since the motherboard says that it can run 3200MHz RAM in A-XMP OC mode, that this kit should work? https://www.newegg.com/corsair-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820233859?Item=N82E16820233859

 

I am pairing this RAM with the new Ryzen 3600 on this board. Feel like I should say that since it is probably relevant information.

almost all of my ram kits never are listed on the manufacturer website, i never had a situation where any of them doesn't work

 

what i had is problems with overclocking but xmp works almost always, well always for me, so i am not saying not to do it the way msi is telling you, i am saying that i buy knowing that most manufacturers are in the amd side and will not give you much problems

 

the always for me is referred to other people who indeed had problems running xmp profiles on their motherboards, so you are right on trying to find a kit that is known to work

 

i personally almost always end with corsair, my plan b is kingston

 

i was going to buy that kit for a build i made 2 days ago, but it was expensive here, so i went with my known plan b and also worked

 

i can't say it will 100% work, i say i would buy it, definitively, specially because is lpx so airflow near vrms is not restricted as much as taller ram modules

Forget about the QVL support list, get what ever is sold as DDR4 and if it doesnt work let us know, but never heard about a kit not working properly because it was not listed and i never bought a listed kit and i always OC the crap out off it, so IMO the QVL is worthless unless you have to RMA your board because of memory issues, and i would never tell them i don't use an unsupported kit anyways.....

I'd go with whatevers on the list personally. I've had nothing but problems with Ryzen and RAM compatibility...mind you that was first gen.

If you're waiting until Black Friday, why not just see if one of the RAM kits drop to what you can afford?

Doesn't always work with Ryzen.

Zen had a lot of issues with memory compatibility due to the IMC, it was not that bad with Zen+ and mostly good why Zen 2, still have room for improvement but it's not as bad as Zen was.

Ballistix AES (3000 MHz CL15 or 3200 MHz CL16 kits, Micron E-die) for the win

Great for Zen 2, look it up.
