Considering that they recommend 8 thread cpu's as a minimum I'd expect some issues with your quad core i5 akin to many other games of today that want more than 4 cores otherwise you should be good to play at probably medium.

This is of course assuming it's a half decent port.

Hey guys !

above 30fps, at 1080p with medium-high settings pretty easily.

Probably upgrade to an R5 1600/2600 + B350/B450 board with 16Gbs of 3000+mhz RAM whenever though. Prices are falling all the time for that stuff.

@jaslion is correct - if the port is bad...it wont matter what equipment you have lol.  And yes it will struggle, even the single core is a low IPC by todays standards.  Lowered settings to achieve 60 FPS if its a decent port.

20-35 fps with stuttering. Add one 8GB stick of RAM to get 20-35 fps without stuttering.

Id be chasing 8 threads over 4, smoothing it out a little at the extreme moments..

Today's games look Great at Medium-Low vs OLD Games.

So...to me...

8threads, 2ndGen+

Do want a 3GB VRAM GPU minimum...

Locked i7 2600/3770 and a HD7950 would be a VERY cheap PC to run it pretty well.

I wouldn't build the cheapest.. but slightly better than the cheapest..

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Hello guys !

I've made a hardware change in my build! Replaced the gpu to an rx 580 8gb !

Now the new problem is that my cpu is bottlenecking alot ! Like about 30% ?

So now I must upgrade my cpu as well! For that I'll post a new topic

I guess that’s an upgrade. It would be noticeable, I would have thought the CPU would have been higher priority.

Yes, I've come up to a solution.

I shall be replacing the i5 to a 3rd gen xeon later this week

It's an e3 1240 V2

It's a good cpu and hopefully will pair great with the gpu

The PC port of this game has some weird bugs with lower thread CPUs, major stuttering. I can't run the game on an i5-4690k, and oddly enough the thing that helps performance the most is turning up graphics settings. So yeah I would definitely suggest swapping the CPU, I will be switch to Ryzen soon to so I can actually play this game since I don't think they will be fixing any CPU issues with this game anytime soon.

(If you're interested in the details of the games whacky CPU performance, Gamers Nexus recently did a video on it)

I guess on low to medium settings you can probably get the stable 30fps console experience.

Ryzen 1600x @4GHz

Asus GTX 1070 8GB @1900MHz

16 GB HyperX DDR4 @3000MHz

Asus Prime X370 Pro

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

Noctua NH-U14S

Seasonic M12II 620W

+ four different mechanical drives.

Your CPU will limit it alot. 16GB RAM would be better too.

Low-medium should be possible tho. The Game is good optimized.

You'll want to adjust your graphical settings, reduce resolution scale, turn all the effects way down in standard and advanced tab, but if you don't mind things looking a bit pixelated, it should run fine.  Apparently even a lowly, 2 core 4 thread Athlon 3000G APU can run it, with a bit of overclocking.

also if you like old xeons on the cheap, check this out

Spoiler

vid includes recommendations for getting them to run significantly better, given that recent spectre and meltdown mitigations only really are ever needed for large scale servers, check description
