I win.

Took the fan out of my Latitude E6500. Still needs some tweaking, but I think I'm onto something here.

EDIT: Ignore the Fans PWM under the GPU. It's just like that all the time, there isn't any fan.

Will run Prime95 with the CPU in max speed. Prepare to be blown away.

By the way, the max temp for my CPU is 105c. It used to go over that with the fan on max speed before I gave it the magic touch.

I'm actually pretty surprised. After a while it seems to have hit the max temp it's going to get to. (Just below the TJ max which is 105c. From experience, I know the thing doesn't shut itself down until it hits 127c.)

Are you standing in a meat locker or something? I am on a latitude E6430s and the bloody fans struggle to keep this thing under control when I do anything remotely intensive.

Heh, yeah. The stock cooling for the CPU sucks balls. When I turned off the throttling for the first time the thing struggled to stay under 220f with the fan on max speed.

More pics soon :D

Here ya go:

What you can't see is the aftermarket thermal paste and copper shims on the CPU and GPU. I wonder if I could use the fan space to somehow make a bigger heatsink for added cooling..

Also, ignore the bent heat pipes. I did that by accident and they're mostly back to their original shape now.

Well, I put the fan back in because under gaming load the GPU got too hot (Over 170f 76c) for the overclock and would BSOD, especially when playing with it on my lap. I was just doing it to see if it was possible, and it is. The heat just had nowhere to go and wasn't dispersing fast enough so I'll just stick with a fan unless I can get a big flat piece of copper to modify the heatsink.
