I will appreciate any response thanks to everyone who will respond

If yall dont mind either can yall put ur name on ur response too

1. What was the best thing about building the computer

several things:

  1. parting out the system, especially as i was using mostly used parts (excluding cpu, ram and ssd) so i was looking for offers online every free minute. drove 45 minutes in the middle of the night one time b/c someone just put an offering for a 2070 online that was 200€ less than new, and 1 1/2 hours once for my originally sealed AIO that was 120€ less than new... it was truly feeling like a hunt, and as soon as i had everyting i already missed it.
  2. the "modding" of the case i did as i wanted to have something a bit custom.
  3. and of course the first boot. loved that feeling of acomplishment.

2. What was the hardest part

honestly? after having watched hundreds, maybe thousands, of videos from Linus, Jay, Paul, Kyle, Steve... you name them, there wasn't really any bigger issue to the build.

the "hardest" parts probably were aplying the thermal compound and cablemanagement. not really hard, but i made sure to do them properly and carefully.

3.what drove you to build your computer

i honestly do not know ^^ i have a quite capable laptop, so it clearly wasn't a need to do. i think, having built several systems for friends, but never having done so for myself, i just wanted to build myself a new shiny toy that was unique, mostly just for the sake of building one, and what can i say? i had a blast doing so and i really feel the urge to do it again ever since i finished.

i appologize if i misswrote anything or something along those lines, not a native speaker.

i hope i have been of some help and wish you all the best

? have a wonderful day

edit: after seeing multiple comments being posted while i wrote i wondered how they were typing that fast..... well i guess i just went a little off the rails with my writing XD

my appologies =P

Cable management is fun, hardest bit is balancing the build with budget, so one part is too OP for the rest.

I needed a new PC to play my 2009-2016 era games as the liquid cooler broke during annual maintenance and took out my motherboard.

1.) The feel of building something and it actually to works
2.) Small space for big parts..ugh
3.) I wanted to have a gaming PC as my whole childhood I've watched these stuff from side. I had a crappy laptop that could barely run anything on it so I started working saved some money and bought myself a proper PC

1. the high degree of freedom allow you to custonmise the machine for your own need, and the feeling of accomplishment of building the perfect setup that only suits you.

2. diagnosing weird problems

3. i treat computer an organ of my body, like a limb. you can live without, but would you? if so, why not build your own limb?

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!

1. What was the best thing about building the computer

- Lets be honest, playing games on the computer

2. What was the hardest part

- Learning initially about how to put things together, what cables to use etc. After you learn all that its pretty much LEGO.

- I guess overclocking on old motherboards too.

Or

3.what drove you to build your computer

- It was cheap. Why would I pay more for the same thing?

1: it's a lot of fun and you make it your own.

2: making it as compact as possible, ie full soft tube watercooling in the Define C.

3: got scammed hard on my first gaming system so I decided to get the most out of my money

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

Follow these simple rules in life, and I promise you, things magically get easier. " - MageTank 31-10-2016
