Sabrent rocket 1TB is very slow ?

So i put my new Sabrent rocket 1tb nvme ssd in my current rig ryzen 1600 + b350 f strix till my new ryzen 3700x and x570 taichi comes in.
Thing is it is SLOW. When i run AS SSD check tool, it gives up to 2600 mb/s sequential read/write but when i move some games around from my HDD to the second partition of the SSD it moves at a rate of like 50 mb/s.

People who use this drive say its blazing fast, so i guess i have an issue ?

The HDD is bottlenecking it.

Are you seriously expecting it to copy at SSD speeds when you're copying from an HDD to an SSD

Size of the files, source of the files, and other factors all play a role.

Moving from a HDD to an SSD will only go as fast as the HDD can seek and send files. Additionally, if you have a lot of small files that will further slow things down as the HDD has to seek and find the information which might not always be grouped up.

If the files are large this is normal. QLC SSDs are much slower than even a 5400RPM hard drive when working with large files

The drive is TLC not QLC

Small non-sequential files cause slow downs, not large files.
