Anyone knows anything about this case?

LennyD

Hello! I am currently looking for a new case since there is no room inside for the gpu in my current one. And my choice would be the Corsair Carbide Series 275R Tempered Glass but i have stumbled upon this case:

http://zalman.com/contents/products/view.html?no=610

I cant find any sort of reviews or anything like that about it besides reviews on amazon and some reviews in a language that i do not understand. The price difference between these two isnt that big but the Zalman case seems to have more things to it comparing it to the Corsair one. My current case is a Zalman as well and i thought i would check what they have to offer before going for Corsair, knowing Corsair make quality stuff. Any help?

Also i need a case that can fit an Asus GTX 1060 Strix and an ATX motherboard and i would want one with a tempered glass side panel if possible.

Budget would be around 100 USD feel free to suggest anything and link it up amazon US and i will check it in on sites in my country!

Zalman doesn't have the best track record for cases, build quality and thermals both seem to suffer in my experience. I'm not sure how much wiggle room is in your "about 100" budget but the Define R6 is very nice. https://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-r6-usb-c

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Airflow on that case is going to be a dumpster fire. Look at how the front fans are mounted. They're in front of the mesh, meaning that intake air is going to have to come in at a 90-degree angle, then turn 90 degrees again, then do a 180 to get to the fan blades. You could put a wall of Deltas in there and you wouldn't get good front to back airflow.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Just curious, which features were you referring to when comparing both cases?

First of all, the Zalman case has 4 total of usb ports in the front (2 2.0 and 2 3.0).

Second of all, im not sure if its that relevant but the Zalman case supports up to 7 fans while the 275r supports 6 i believe.

Third of all, its not really that much of a big deal and its mostly a decision taken by taste rather than anything else, its the RGB detail in the front of the Zalman case that also has a button next to the USB slots in front to control it.

Im pretty sure i would have to spend more for those features to be on a Corsair case and quite frankly i dont want to spend more.

To me it just seems like im getting more for my buck. I know that the Corsair one is most likely a more solid and quality build and considering that i cant test/see any reviews about the Zalman i will probably go for the Corsair.

Which would you chiose between a 275r and a 400c?

I had a case with side fans all my life and now i want one with a tempered glass side panel but it seems like cooling is a problem since there are no side fans.

Cooling isn't a problem without side fans. You just need good airflow at the front, whether that be from a large enough side gap or a full mesh front.

Most of our cases in this price point have (2) USB 3.0, same thing with (6) fans for cooling.

We do have another option similar to the 275R with front RGB, the SPEC-06 RGB, at a similar price point.

I've built in both 275R and 400C, both are solid cases in their own respect, and picking one will come down to personal preference on feature set.  Tempered glass vs Acrylic Door, Solid PSU cover vs Modular, SSD Drive Sleds vs Clip in Slots (275R vs 400C respectively).
