That's because they have this mentality that all UI's must look the same and only be designed for touchscreens on small devices.

 

None of these idiots have ever considered that what works on a small touchscreen does not work on a  larger desktop (non touch) screen.

System 2: Asus M5 MB, AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, Sapphire RX580, 30TB of storage, 250GB SSD, Silverstone HTPC chassis, Corsair 550W Modular PSU, Noctua cooler, liteon bluray/dvd/rw, 4K HDR display (Samsung TV)

System 3 & 4: nVidia shield TV (2017 & 2019) Pro with extra 128GB samsung flash drives.

could someone point out what is different?

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

Guess one way to avoide it (on Firefox) is to use this addon https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/restore-fast-theme-of-youtube/?src=search

 

It's not up to date and doesn't restore the layout from a few days ago. Instead it restores a much older layout. Still better that whatever this is...

Thx For the help, Got that new youtube look since yesterday and it drove me crazy.

With this Add-on everything is back to normal.

I absolutely hate what W10 UI has done to settings.

 

"here are some useless sliders that don't really tell you anything, and on the side is a little bit of text you can use to open the actual fucking settings you need to change to do a thing".

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
