my specs;

1070ti gpu,

i9 9900k cpu,

2x8gb ram,

hard rock pro 4 cpu cooler,

650w psu,

gigabyte z370p D3 motherboard,

1tb hdd.

tell fps on settings you play on.

but i can tell you right now, check voltages, 650 w is not to much for 1070 ti and i9 9900k

I get 200- 400 FPS and low settings, but I get good FPS but there is still stuttering.

That’s what I thought it could be

Do you have any idea what psu to buy?

I'd put my money on VRM throttling. This board can't handle a 9900k.

It's way more than enough. My own rig only pulls 400 watts from the wall.

The model matters a lot though

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Anything in Tier A will work, but the Aorus Pro and Aorus Elite are the best values.

Do you think the MSI z170A gaming m7 motherboard will be fine?

No it wouldn't work and the vrms seems very bad for a I9 9900K that have a tdp of 200 or something.

No, that board is not compatible with your CPU. I would recommend a Z390 Aorus board like the Aorus Elite or Aorus Pro.

Even if you hook a 1000w unit on it, it wouldn’t matter lol.

Just use it with stock settings or oc it with 4.8 all cores, I wouldn't say the same but yeah not that much better.

It should be fine as long as you don't overclock your CPU. If it's in budget a Z390 Extreme4 or a Z390 Gaming X would be a better option though.

Do you reckon it would be fine and actually work without game stutters for no reason

I mean there is a lot of reason that your game stutters like driver issue defective ram or gpu dying HDD or ssd.

I'm not sure. It might stop it but I can't say for certain that it will.

Even windows could be a problem yeah before you try to swap mobo, swapping mobo is like the least resort to problems or even CPU so check other stuff first.
