Do you have $52 million, now you can visit the ISS for a maximum of 30 days

Go to solution Solved by NumLock21,

Personally, I'm glad NASA is setting requirements as to who can go and who can't, and not just inviting any random people who has $52 million dollars to burn. The ISS is work place, not a fancy 5 star hotel.

Whoever has the money and is qualified, I hope they don't take the once in a lifetime experience for granted, and still show the utmost respect to those astronauts. Because there will be some out there who has the money, is qualified, but don't deserve to be up there.

There is a reason why they dont do it. Mostly because with any current building materials it is practically impossible

Fair enough, but I do believe that when a government gives more funds to a certain research organisation regarding space travel, we may be able to create something sustainable for the future. Doesn't necessarily have to be a space elevator, but at least something that ensures that space travel becomes more viable. It is risk worthy.

Personally I hope somebody funds a single night stay to a flat earther and NASA make an exception and allow them to go up. Even then the flat earth community would probably still stay the person was endoctrinated and any footage was edited.

I don't think the ISS is far away enough from Earth, to show that it's curved.

That's not far enough to make those flat Earthers believe the Earth is round. It needs to be a lot lot further.

Then again, they will just say it's still flat, like a coin, so screw them!

Looking at the requirements I'm under impression that it won't be too popular, if 1 person in 100 000 has the money, then you get another 1 in 100 000 or something chance that such person also fulfils or the requirements.

I saw higher prices for roaming on Earth xD

I think there would be a few rich people in the pharmaceutical field that could qualify.

With that attitude yes.  Question is if you had it why would you blow that much cash?  Dropping that kind of cash is more something a multi billionaire would be doing.  "Normal" millionaires are saving whatever they can get.
