I5 9600K or Ryzen 7 2700x?

Hello, I am trying to build a pc I can game and live stream to twitch on. I can’t decide between the i5 9600k or the ryzen 7 2700x.   I would be using either a gtx 2060 or 2070. Anyways Thankyou, -Sal

2700X because 6 threads isn't cutting it in 2019

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 2 VR

As someone who owns a 9600k, get the 2700x. They perform nearly identical in gaming, with the 9600k producing more, but the 8 cores and 16 threads is definitely better

PC: CPU: i5-9600k - CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 - GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 - Motherboard: ASRock - Z370 Extreme4 - RAM: Team - T-Force Delta RGB 16 GB DDR4-3000 - PSU: Corsair - TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply - Case: Thermaltake - Core G21 TG

Save yourself a bit of money by going for the 2060 and ryzen 7 2700. 2700 tends to be far cheaper for pretty much the same performance (It's just an lesser frequency 2700x which you can OC to 2700x levels).

One thing you shouldn't consider though is the RTX 2070. It's pretty poor for the price you're paying. If you want 8gb vram and similar performance to the 2060 or 2070, go for the Vega 56 or Vega 64 cards. They are both amazing value right now compared to Turing, especially Vega 56.

2700x but if you can wait until 7th of July for a Ryzen 3000 series, I would suggest to do so.

This would be my advice for anyone wanting to build right now. Wait if you can because the new Ryzen chips look amazing!
