Regardless it does make sense to move from PIPT to VIPT as when it's working well it's much better and you need less of it, could even be one of those edge areas that makes Intel faster in gaming but I wouldn't get my hopes on on that. VIPT and TLB need to be working well together otherwise there's potential for performance to regress.

Um do you have a link to an equally good video explaining the difference between PA's and VA's. I sort of assumed an address was an address, (at least on any given subsystem. Presumably bigger memory groups would have longer and thus different address strings to account for the greater total number of addresses).

I hate that they're using R9. I know the naming scheme is kind of a silly thing to be upset about, but it's confusing when they keep trying to copy Intel, and they already have an R9 GPU.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

It's actually nor R9. It's Ryzen 9 3900X. They don't use R before the series number.

Yes, maybe AdoredTV wasnt correct on that much, only some, but.

I dont remember anyone that said Epic Zen 1 would be 4 desktop chips before he did, Or anyone that said there would be an IO die and Core chiplets before he did. Ayone know if any rumors/leaks existed about that, that was before Adored, they can link to? He was correct about that.

What i have noticed now is the Power Plug for the New X570 Mobo's, they require mostly now 8 Pins or even 10 Pins or even more. Does that mean i have to buy a new PSU? ( Corrently have 2 x 4 Pins for the Mobo),

He was the one who told us, "You will see in the coming months I was right!"  then the week before Computex made a video using that exact bad chart as if it was fully fact.  Naw, fuck Jim.   He's a clickbaiter worse than Linus who loves to overhype shit and is usually mostly wrong.  You can see my previous comments proving that.

I actually followed a couple of his video's that went about how he was right and how his predictions where accurate and such.... Outside an big ego i never saw any real harm of his video's being outragesly wrong.

I'm not saying that he is a good guy but to rip him in a message is a bit out of touch

Depends on the core count you're going for. 6 and 8 core are fine with just 8pin, 12 could need more, 16 definitely needs more. Note that each of these connector can handle 300w worth of 12V electricity easily and there are plenty of boards with a 8pin and a 4pin socket each with VRMs that can't saturate 1 8pin before blowing up.

RDNA, is like Zen on GPU. Daym, they really improve when they start from scratches.

That 5000 thing bothers me, come on NVIDIA did you really have to trademark your numbers just for reservation for the next generation RTX GPU?
But still, RX5700 intrigues me.

Making predictions is where I think rumour reporters go too far. To me, they are basically the one to do the talking for those that cant, not the one making the leaks

I don't understand what you just said, but if you want to quote a specific part of a apost you can do "qoute selection". Quoting a full mile long post double posts it, and makes it harder for people to read the discussion. Example:

Spoiler

image.png

See how much space on the page you have wasted?

Quoting is only when you want to add something to a specific part of a post, not just quoting a whole post because you can.

You can also do what i just did and put a long quote in a "spoiler", so that it only takes so much room when you click to view it.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Doubt it. Intel doesn't really need to compete on price.

They will at most cut the cost at 10-12.5%, half is way too big of an assumption. You have to take into account Intel's market dominance and Brand reception.

Intel does not really cut prices, they are already selling all of the CPUs they can make at the current prices. I would expect almost no price cut.
