Best Case to Buy? (Tecware M3 vs Tecware Nexus M)

Hey guys I'm very new to the gaming build scene but I'm planning to overclock a ryzen 2200g and I also have a Sapphire Rx570 OC edition.

What would be the best case overall?

Should I get the

Tecware M3

Or the

Tecware Nexus M

Notes:

-these are my best options right now, because they fit in my budget range and are also the only ones available in the shop (shipping fees are expensive here)

-The Tecware M3 is 4$ more than the Nexus M and it has an Rgb strip in the front

-Tecware Nexus M can support 6 fans while the M3 can only support 5

Additional questions:

-How many fans do I really need in order to keep my system cool?

-Which is the best case for airflow?

Many thanks friends!

They're identical when it comes to size, drive bays, airflow. The only real difference is the design.

I prefer the cleaner look of the M.

As for fans, with your specs, 1 exhaust and intake should do it.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

the nexus M has a completely solid front panel while the M3 at least has a small portion of it that is mesh, so the M3 should be better with airflow.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

i would say m3 as i probably has the better airflow as it's font panel isn't completely blocked. I would do 3 intake make the front and the  rear a intake and add a 120 mm filter on it and make the top exhaust.

Even if I OCd the ryzen cpu? Would 1 exhaust and intake still be good?

Seems interesting but it can only support 2 fans in the front compared to, 3 by the Nexus M. What are your thoughts on this?

I said m3 which supports 5 fans

Hmm.. I'm curious does 1 fan really make that much of a difference?

Nope after 2 intake and one exhaust you returns kinda diminish. But in this case where your front panel I kinda blocked. In order to creat positive air pressure to keep all the dust out having rear intake which is a completely non blocked are a d run 2 exhaust up top at lower rpms. You should be able to keep positive air pressure which would help for dust it's what I do for my rig

So let me get this straight,

2 intake in the front

2 exhaust on top with lower rpm

And 1 exhaust in the back?

yep . what I woould personaly do in your case is take the included fans and put them up tp as exhaut buy a couple of corsair ML 140's or noctua fans which both do a good job at pulling air from places where they are sorta blocked like that front panel. and either replace your exhaust  or keep it then  just put a filter on it and turn it around so it's intake.  I have to stress to filter the back intake. I dropped a goof d 5 degrees when I did this and the noise level wen down cause I can run everything at lower rpms. but the included fans should be enough if you can't afford it.

the ryzen 2200g doesn't OC that well anyway usually caps at 3.8 ghz which isn't very hot. I'm running my 1300x at 3.9 ghz which isn't very hot at all.

I can't afford them as of the moment, but I will take your comment into consideration in the future. Thank you!!!

I'll try my hand at 3.9... Maybe 4.0 if I feel like it ?

Is your board ATX? If so, the Nexus is the only option since your board wont fit in the M3

The case has a side vent similar to the NZXT H500 so airflow "exists" in the case and it should be more than enough for a 2200G and an RX 570. You dont need to go crazy populating every fan slot as mentioned above, that just adds extra noise and provides no temperature/performance benefit, especially for the level of hardware you're currently using.

to me the very nicest case out right now looks like the coolermaster H500M..  it just looks so sick the the tempered glass and RGB.. i love it.

heres a pauls hardware vid talking about doing a build with it.   I may get this for my next upgrade but im waiting for the new 7nm Ryzen chips to come out in July.   Im very psyched about those but also unsure if I can afford one.

The downside of this case is that it may not be that cheap..  I think its a little over $200 which is sorta ouch when considering the costs of the rest the build.. what youre really paying for here is the flash...  but that may be worth it.  as for strict cooling benchmarking tests, I dont know that cooler master always wins the very top numbers but I think, case benchmarking is a thing of the past anyway.  who really cares when your case looks that nice?  it has a bunch of huge fans on it so you know its going to keep the hardware cool.

I am going to use a MicroATX and my options are actually the M3 or the Nexus M, not the Nexus. With that said, which for you is the better option?

I saw that! But that's too much for my budget, plus I need to add around 10-20$ more for shipping which makes if not worth it at all.

But between the 2 cases, which would you prefer?

I would probably say M3 micro, because the max CPU cooler height is 160mm vs 155 in the Nexus M. There's quite a few towers in the 155-160mm height range, and though yours might be a stock intel/amd cooler right now or an AIO, the extra 5mm will offer you a lot more selection should you decide to go that route.  Beyond that, they're basically the same.

I dunno, I just looked at both and I dont think you could go wrong with either choice but the M3 looks a bit sweeter with RGB shiz..  I always appreciate when they put that separate compartment for the PSU..  but both of those are quite nice.
