The EVGA W1 is just crap. The Thermaltake Germany Berlin 630W is a CWT GPK unit, group regulated unit same platform as in the Antec Neo Eco (and I think some other Thermaltake Smart units as well?). Basically also junk.

 

Stop looking at junk 600-650W power supplies to power a <250W system!
For 50 Euro you can get the BQ Pure Power 10/11 400W, or the 450Corsair CX/CXm and Vengeance (500w). Even a Xilence Performance A+ is cheaper at like 45 euro.

If your rig is important to you, never cheap out on the power supply. A quality PSU is a good investment, check out the PSU tier list by clicking the PSU in my signature for a good reference.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Agree. It doesn't make logical sense IMO to build a £1500 PC and want to only spend say £40 on a PSU... I spend approx £80-100 on most of mine, and they should last for a good 5-7 years if not longer and come with warranties of around 7 years too.

You're one of the companies that sell RGB hard, and you don't have brightly coloured fans in PSUs anymore. SAD!

Why would they need RGB fan in PSU's when the only thing that would actually see it is the case filter on the bottom of the case.

It's still not all that great, but it would do for what he has.

 

Taking into count actual good PSU's cost twice his budget over there like the RMX.

That and if the case has a top mounted PSU they need a new case anyway.

They already have the software and interface for it too with the Corsair Link and iCue software.

I think I would be more okay with RGB on a PSU if it was done properly. The Thermaltake PSUs just slap an RGB fan in it and tell you to mount your PSU upside down, so if someone has a high end GPU in a mATX case that PSU is going to be sucking in 50°C air and won't last very long.
If it was just like an illuminated RGB "Corsair" or "RGB750i" logo on the side of the unit I wouldn't mind it. (Probably still wouldn't buy it though)
