Is it possible to paint the dark rock pro 4?

I am building a white pc and want the drp4 to be white can I paint the top part or remove it?

Just go with a Noctua cooler

Yes it's totally okay to ONLY paint the top part

Any paint you get on the heat fins will obstruct the coolers ability to dissipate heat over that surface area. Also I would be wary of the possibility that the paint would then melt off the cooler and onto your motherboard.

Just prep the fined part as good as you can also If it was me I would leave a black square around the branding also cut out the dimples just to add some contrast.

If you paint the fins you will reduce performance by a lot.

You can only paint the top safely.

You need heat resistant paint.  Its a special spray used for car brake calipers.  I don't know exactly what its called but just check for heat resistant paint.  Regular spray paint could work as well but might melt lol.

As suggested you can paint the top section of the cooler as long as you don't coat the fin array below it will have no effect on cooling.

The heatsink will not get hot enough to require heat resistant paint.
