Do i need a new cooler?

I bought the i5 8600k and the asus rog strix b360 h motherboard and a coolermaster i70c. I bought these cause I was short of money. I don’t want to over lock.

 

So, do i have to change my cpu cooler asap? Someone told me this will burn my processor.

To start off you cannot overclock on a B360 motherboard anyways, so no issue there. Also what temps are you running at? Regardless at stocks speeds it is very unlikely that you are going to hit a thermal barrier. What cooler model do you have?

buying an 8600k and call that "short on money" sounds odd, but you're fine. That cooler is a bit better than the stock cooler for the 8400 and the 8600k at stock don't really push much more heat than that.

On standby its 40*C and while gaming its 55-60*C. Coolermaster i70c

I will upgrade the motherboard and an Aio next month along with a new gpu. Any suggestions on the aio and motherboard for a 4.8ghz oc.

If you are willing to dish out, the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Master is the creme of the crop in terms of the best in it's price bracket & one of the best overall motherboards for LGA 1151 period.  Any "good" AIO will get you to pretty good overclocks, as long as it's a 280mm or 360mm if you can fit one.  I wouldn't recommend sacrificing surface area unless you can only fit a 240mm radiator.  And by good I mean, Corsair, Thermaltake, eVGA's CLCs, anything that has high reviews.  If you're going for full RGB gheyness, I highly recommend the one I got, as it's quite easy to setup the controller & RGB stuff.  If you don't want one that's RGB heavy, the Corsair or eVGA CLC series are more docile on the RGB stuff & perform equal or better in cooling.

maybe go big air cooler like the Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B / Fuma Rev B or Thermalright Macho 140mm fan ones. For AIO, 280mm rad ones are preferred say EVGA CLC280 and Corsair H115/H150 variants.

 

As for motherboard, Gigabyte Aorus Elite, Pro, Pro Wifi are the high end options, Asrock Extreme4, K6 and Phantom 6 are the cheaper options.

If you aren't hitting 85 degrees C + then you have nothing to worry about, those are very low temps. If you plan to OC you will likely get higher temps even with an AIO, which is normal.
