The best place to put your computer tower at?

I've been kind of thinking about this for a while.

Does anybody know the most optimal position to place your computer tower at? If I place it on the desk next to my monitor, it just gives me fear that as I'm playing, I'll accidentally slap the tower off of the desk and break it.

If I place it on the ground next to a wall, it's not going to have much room to breathe and catch more dust.

Is there a better position to put your computer tower at?

I have found the perfect place for my PC tower is the back corner of my L desk, as this would otherwise be unutilized space.

Mine all live on the floor because that's just where there's room and it's worked fine. Hell they don't even seem to pick up too much more dust than when they're up on something like a desk so that works great too.

Unless your case is sucking up air from the bottom and you have long pile carpeting, putting it on the floor isn't really a problem. I've had several computers on the floor and they were fine.

I tried hiding it in a pc cut out in my desk. On my desk and on the floor and and i say on the floor is the best one, Just have a clean floor.

On the floor. If you have long carpeting, put the case up on a book so the PSU doesnt suffocate. 

Make sure you get dust filters for your intake fans regardless.

Both of those scenarios are ridiculous.

Next to a wall and it won't breathe?  Do you actually know where the fans are in it?

 

Put in on the desk, it'll be fine.  If on floor, make sure to clean filters more often.

If you are really afraid of slapping it off a desk then you must have some serious rage moments. In which case I would be wary of any of your peripherals as they could all be smacked about.

 

On the desk is fine. PC's aren't delicate little flowers.
