My friend's situation

Galion

My friend has a old G3258(sorry Wong processor wasn't the g4560) build for almost 3years now. I gave him the motherboard and ramso he could maybe upgrade,he just needs to get a ssd, psu and cpu.

We saw a i7 4790K at the same 'Second Chance PC parts store' for $100.00,we can still use his old seasonic 600w but will need to get a brand new ssd.

He's got a budget of $480

Should we carry on with the Z97 build or get him a 2200G build

Since both systems are quad cores

Parts I gave him :

Gigabyte Z97mx gaming 5

Kingston hyper X Fury ddr3 1600mhz 16gb 4 sticks (metallic red/black)

He intends to buy a coolermaster mastercase pro 3(matx).

Best Value Build List

Budget 1080p System (RGB) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7v2Lmq - (this build comes with two free games with the RX 570)

I mean, you already have the most expensive parts, so I would go on with the z97.

I would get a new psu tho as I don't know any good 600 watt seasonics

With that budget, you're better off going the Used route, that way you get higher performing parts than what you'd get brand new for the same cost, so z97

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Yes? That's a relatively good price for it. Most of them sell for 200~250$ on ebay.
