2560 x 1080 vs 3440 x 1440p

Hey guys,

 

Fighting between a couple displays. They're roughly the same price. Difference is res and and refresh rate, but all have IPS/G-Sync and are ultra wide displays. Which would you prefer for gaming (AAA, fps and cinematic games). Thanks all!

IMO g-sync doesn't make a ton of sense anymore for the price. Higher res especially for an ultrawide

Just keeping this here as a If you have the horse power, get 1440p, if you don't have ATLEAST a GTX1080, then get 1080p.

After me just getting another 144Hz monitor with g-sync this time, i can tell you right now g-sync really doesnt make a difference for me (I play competitively in Fortnite and R6)

With increasing diagonal the 1080p base will become bit to low. I have a 34" one - LG 34uc88 and 3440x1440 is really pretty good for it and no scaling is needed. It's not like trying to cram 4k into a laptop :)It has Freesync, likely Nvidia compatible as it's not a bad display, 75Hz.
