Would you buy a fake GPU (e.g. just a fan in a plastic shell) for addressable RGB?

This goes off a post someone made on reddit about the Fake Corsair RAM to have more RGB.

I would totally buy this at like $50-60 max. Would you?

Just what I want, paying too much to get more noise for absolutely no gain other than to make a PC more obnoxious looking.

Nah, I can see the appeal of putting in fake RAM sticks, but not for GPUs. I do sometimes think "Hmm I'd like those RAM slots to be filled.", but never have I thought "man I'm really missing 3 more GPUs to finish off this case".

Tbh, probably wouldn’t buy it. If I had a beautiful looking card like a Strix or a rtx Aorus Xtreme, I would choose to vertically mount it instead. 

 

But, if vertical mounted gpus werent a thing, and I had money to burn, then sure why not. 

What would be cool is if companies sold some of their coolers that were based on a reference design seperately and made it work somehow.

Where will it end? Have a whole fake RGB PC? Then, under the desk hide your non-RGB PC that does the real work. This could make a difference, as the real PC could be properly cooled and run quietly. The display PC could have all the bling and no airflow.
