Adobe supports Win 7 but no 8.1

Just was installing lightroom classic cc v8 and it gave a error 195 which further said to have either windows 7 SP1 or windows 10, later on found no 8.1 support

its extremely wierd

Barely anyone uses 8.1,

It just does not make sense to develop for it.

Because there is really no reason to be using windows 8.

They don't waste their time developing on a platform that 7.3 people use.

Not surprised. People are dropping W8 support left and right. AMD stopped providing Windows 8 drivers in mid 2017 already for all their GPUs for instance. It's a dead OS that has Microsoft support til 2023, but it'll be dead in terms of hardware and productivity software support before W7 goes EOL.
