Ryzen 5 2400G and X470

I'm looking to build my first system but I have a low budget so I'm thinking about getting the Ryzen 5 2400G since discrete graphics cards are so expensive right now. My question is whether the apu will be compatible with the new x470 chipset or if I'll have to use x370/b350?

it'll work, but please, save your money and get a B350 board. Sure, you'll have to get a bootkit, but $50 cheaper

It'll work fine on the older chipset boards, X470 is only worth it if you plan on a Ryzen 3000 8 core(or maybe even 12) core.

Or just want StoreMI for free.

Kind of odd to buy X470 for an APU though, the $75 ASrock Pro 4/M is likely fine. Otherwise go for the gigabyte ultra gaming.

This is just going to be my base system, something that I can afford relatively easy but can still upgrade.

The x470 is the way to go if you're going to upgrade the 2400G this year or next

 

A friend has it and it's really a nice CPU, he can play all MOBA games maxed out and some shooters at medium quality, best bang for the buck I'd say

The X470 Crosshair VII should be the only board you can't use because it doesn't have a video out.
