Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 100k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

26 minutes ago, Drak3 said:

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Anyone a Jeep fan?

I know they depreciate rapidly (the ones from 2000 and above, at least around here) but I was thinking about a 1998 Cherokee, for hauling more stuff around (tired of borrowing a pickup each time I need more space than what a goldfish bowl can carry) but I know little to nothing about them, other than rust and leaf spring sag in the back.

And oil leaks from everywhere it seems...

So rise up, all ye lost ones, as one, we'll claw the clouds

Shakedown day for the new aero. They're gunning for the EV record (high 6m) that was set by the NIO EP9 instead of outright for the low 5m set by Porsche.

What do you mean by metal cap? You mean like a crush washer?

my spark plug is this

other sparks like this

image.png.47474e3c0cbebfe2e5fb981d38a7d528.png

both are the same dimension, meaning they are supposed to be interchangable. but the denso one comes with a cap while the far more popular ngk one didnt.

oh the cap is just for the little pop on connector... I didn't even know there was a screw thread underneath those... I've only ever seen ones with a cap.

I guess the threaded ones are for if you have some kind of threaded nut on a wire going to the plug?

nope, all my bikes comes with ngk plugs stock, non of them have that cap. and you dont screw spark wire on it, you just shove it tight. i would guess that cap will make sense if the spark wire has some form of clamping mechanism, but no, you just shove it in.

model number, if you want to know:

size: m10x16mm

NGK CR7HGP, platinum tip. same size with C7HSA(nickel tip w/o resistor), CR7HSA(stock, nickel tip), CR7HIX(iridium tip)

Denso IUF22, iridium tip.

It’s just a different style of connector, that’s all.

I didn't read the whole article but may I just note that YOU CAN GET THE "EXECUTIVE PACKAGE" ON AN M3 CS WHICH IS MEANT TO BE A "HARDCORE" M3? Why bother adding an "Executive Package" (or even better, why bother MAKING THIS AVAILABLE FOR THE CS) when the CS doesn't have a center console nor the dual-zone climate control?

God I really hope not, it's been over a month, almost 5 weeks now! This new guy sounded a lot more confident, put me on hold to check stuff, and was significantly more helpful than the last few times I tried calling.

And Thanks! just got it today.

I agree 100%, the A30/A35 looks great. It actually reminds me of the Saab 96 a little bit...
