I really doesn't matter, just don't get the cheapest stuff

I plan on putting in a new CPU into my computer, What is the best Thermal Paste? I found an old Linus video where he says I C Diamond is his favorite, and someone recommended Arctic Silver 5 To me, in reviews for the I C Diamond some said it had pitted their heat sinks and CPU heat spreaders. advice? this PC doesn't have much cooling so I want as good Thermal Paste as I can find.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

You'll be fine with AS5 thermal compound, and using IC Diamond, you can actually scratch the heatspreader on the CPU. The thermal paste doesn't matter that much as long as it's not total garbage.

I like mx4, not something i'd cheap out on since it's 7 dollars. I moved from as5 and mx4 is about 2-3C lower in temps.

MX4 or NT-H1 are good.

IC diamond is thicker and is also harder to remove.

I use MX4 only.

Noctua NT-H1 is the best you're going to get without going to liquid metal.  Arctic Silver kind of sucks.  It's fine for your average user who'd be happy with the stock stuff, but if you want to overclock or are trying to solve some heat issues, you need something better.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I'm going to go with I C Diamond, thank you all for your input!

If you aren't doing liquid metal (don't do it) then IC diamond/Kryonaut are your best options, personally I like kryonaut since its not abrasive like ICD.
