can the pause sign in the tab display go away?

Ashley MLP Fangirl

i ask this because of a few reasons:

1. why does the forum even need to 'pause'? chrome only gives 1% cpu to background tabs anyway. and it's not like it gets cleared from ram either.

2. i have the forum in a pinned tab, and if i get a notification i get a blue dot in the tab icon. it also appears when the forum 'pauses' and it's annoying, because i click on it thinking i got a notification...

This must be browser side thing as neither of my browsers (Firefox and Opera) have that. Could it be related for media/YT embedded to site?

you mean none of your browsers get a pause icon? you need to leave the forum open untouched for 10 - 20 minutes for it to appear...

Mine will get it, but I use Firefox. Might be a Google thing or the media embedded into the site, as mentioned above.

actually if you have "Automatic tab discarding" enabled in chrome://flags

I leave it off though because you don't need it when you have 16GB of ram. It's more useful on low end comuters and laptops
