IDK how much we pay at my office, but I think it's around $80-$100 with Comcast. Here's the speeds when there's only a few people (once everyone gets here it drops to 30-70mbps):

US, Michigan - Comcast

28ms~35ms, 88Mbps Down, 12Mbps Up, $80/mo or €71.67/mo.

Had 30ms 30Mbps Down, and 5Mbps Up for 5+ years on the same $80/mo plan, they said I would get the speeds I see above, love their false advertisements.

I pay $240 (about £190 or so) a month for 200/20 cable, television and home phone service. There are cheaper options available, but they're with other providers whose service is shit and the lines run to my house don't function normally, but they won't replace them. This cable is really reliable, so I'm not complaining.

Main System: Phobos

Secondary System: York

I use my local telephone company because nobody else will bring anything down my road.  Currently pay $40/month for 3Mb/384k.  Actual cost is higher than that though because I also have to have a landline to get that price.  Don't know what the cost of just the internet would be without the bundle, but after prices changed a few months ago I am now paying almost $80/month for my 3Mb internet and local phone only without caller id call waiting or any add ons.  That is the price you pay for living out in the middle of nowhere.

Well... considering one typical US state has a higher population than most countries and given the USA's massive size, it's not exactly a 1 to 1 playing field.

Our isp's here are Aussie levels of bad unless you feel like coughing up for higher tiered internet or lucky enough to live in an area that has a local isp that actually cares. I'm in the 2nd largest city in this state and check out this atrocious score. (LTT members who have or had CenturyLink know my pain and this is $60)

Thats what I've done and its working out well for me. 150 up and down.  I also put an ooma VoIP to it which cost me about 3 bucks a month for utility tax.

We just dropped cable. But with Cable TV we were paying $179 a month for TV and 75 Mbps internet. Internet only we will be paying $79 a month for 75Mbps.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yes, the amount of data we use makes it very unrealistic to go to satellite.  My wife works from home a lot and has to remote in, and it uses an insane amount of data.  Not sure why it uses so much, I think it has something to do with the way citrix works.  Even though our speeds are slow, it is also unlimited.  So far this month we have used 138GB according to my router but we were gone for 9 days on vacation.  We average close to 250 per month.   And if I get some new xbox one games or buy something on steam we could use a lot more than that.  We would go through the highest amount Hughes offers in about a week and end up throttled at the same or possibly lower speeds.  And thats not to mention the high pings on satellite.  Eventually they keep telling me that we will get fiber at our house.  I tried very hard to get them to put in another box closer to our house so we could get faster speeds and they looked into it and wouldnt do it since they claim fiber is coming.  But they have been telling me and my neighbors that fiber is coming for the last 5 years.  I am lucky to get the speed I have since technically we are so far out from our local office that we should only be getting 0.5Mb according to them.  It was a fight just to get them to let me get the speed I have now.  And every couple of years they audit their system and it automatically kicks me down to 1.5M because that is the slowest speed they offer and their system thinks I shouldnt be in the tier I am in because of the distance.
