What are some games that this card could handle at 4K? I know it can handle the settings all the way up on GTAV at 2880x1800.

Probably most games. I just got a 980 Ti form a guy who said he ran it on a 4K monitor. He had to turn some settings down, but it worked fine.

In other words, you can play any game you want at 4k with a 980ti, all comes down to the settings you're fine playing at.

1080ti can't even play games at 4k maxed 60fps. 980ti is not 4k ready except in games that came out before the 900 series was released. Anything less then 60fps is a bit of a eye sore unless you have gsync/freesync.

you can easily play games at 4k, if you turn down some settings. also the 980ti OC can reach the same speed as a stock gtx 1080,

Ew at turning down settings. It's either ultra or very high settings or their equivalent for me. Anything else and in my opinion you might as well just drop res till you can afford to keep up with your resolution.

Depends on the game obviously. My GTX980 handles 4k in these games at very high or ultra without issue(most 60+fps some as low as 45-50fps): Rocket League, Mad Max, Civ V, KSP, War Thunder, Project Cars, SNOW, Cities Skylines, DOOM, EVERSPACE, and basically any older games.

 

Newer games run at 1440p very high/ultra without issue (60+fps). For example I play BF1 maxed out (except no motion blur) at 1440p and get 80+fps but if I switch to 4k it's like 40fps.

 

If you want to play newer AAA games at very high/ultra at 60+ fps you will probably need at least a 1080 if not a 1080Ti.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

I have seen that video before. The title is completely untrue though. I enjoy ultra settings.
