I thought it was the 16 core was $850, if the difference in pricing is similar to the difference for R7 and R5 then 

10 core low end- $500 (it's about $50 between all three R7s and the top R5)

10 core high end - $550

12 core low end- $600 

12 core high end - $650

14 core low end- $700 

14 core high end - $750

16 core low end- $800 

16 core high end - $850

 

 

whether this prediction is correct, is another question, but this is based off the difference in price of the R7s and the highest end R5. So it's a tiny sample to use to guess those pricing, and they might not actually follow the same pattern, that being said, I can't see the 16 core being too far over $1000 so it might be possible to guess from that. We will need to wait and see though.

The TR demo at Computex was running between 3.4 to 3.5 Ghz on all-cores, per the people that spent too much time looking over the details/comparing numbers.  With proper cooling, it really should all-core to the average of the Ryzen 7 1800X.  So I would expect all-cores at 3.9 to 4.1 Ghz depending on silicon lottery.

 

At least through the 7900X, you should see 4.5 Ghz has a fairly regular OC. Though the Power Draw is going to be kind of hilarious if it really is just 2.5x higher than the Kaby Lake parts.  Who needs a heater in winter? :)

10c & 14c parts seem like a no-go. At least, we've not seen a single ES for them. (We know they can do offset cores, but we might not see those until future Zen-based models.)

I am interesting in the 10 core threadripper, I will be waiting till octoberish till I actually have the money to do so, so it might not be threadripper I get, but I find the appeal of 10 cores, with quad channel memory, for a good price some what appealing

aye quite possibly, same time, I hope they exist, cause the 12 cores might be a tad too expensive for me, but the 10s wouldn't so I am hoping they will be there cause I would love one

It won't go over 4,1GHz, and even that will be a slight miracle.

It's probably safe to assume that a delided & OC'd 10c X299 will trade with TR @ 16c.  But without the clocks, there's a whole lot of big "Ifs" involved.  We straight-up will not know until we get deep testing.  We don't know what Zen cores can do with Quad-channel memory bandwidth.

 

It's going to be fun to watch, that's for sure.

It's the non-X 16-core variant that is supposed to be $850, not the highest chip.  It's more likely the X variant will run closer to $1k.

I am fairly sure we will not see any 10c or 14c parts, Alianware only stated to have 12c and 16c and it would make a  lot of sense for AMD to keep all CCX's the same and not mismatch. we also only have been seeing 12c and 16c Eng sample leaks.

 

Makes me think the 12c will be $600-$700 and the 16c will be around $800-$1000

Not sure if the 10 core part is very good compared to the 8 core as you get a latency penalty between the dies. On the other hand the heat density is reduced.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

that is a good score, but the CPU costs £1199, where as AMDs 16 core is probably going to be about $1000 which will have 4 more cores and 8 more threads, I don't know what the performance will be for this new CPU from AMD but with the extra cores, I can see it preforming better than that 12 core, which is likely to be more expensive than it

fair enough, I have never looked into the 6950Xs scores so wouldn't know them :P but even still my point about the cores still stands of intel needs to make there CPUs real powerful to compete with AMDs considering AMDs are alot cheaper

But then noticed that the scores are the same as some R7 scores so kinda pointless, the only thing we maybe can take from it is the name and base clock.
