no, it means that saying

Quote

if you have files to protect make sure the fucking security is up to snuff

is shortsighted. you could snuff up your security as far as reasonably possible and it still can be stolen. what it means is that its unfair to blame before we even know what happened.

Does it even matter with their releases being DRM free. Why would they pay to have it back.

CPU: Amd 7800X3D | GPU: AMD 7900XTX

Lame. But hopefully not too many was stolen. Early files though, but yeah they did progress far from those with a game. I know they don't want nothing leaked, but we'll get the game onces it's perfectly finalized.

After all they are also guilty of significant visual downgrades on promotional pre-launch materials vs what was delivered.

What?

The witcher 3 trailer looked incredible, but so did the game.

They're not Ubisoft

it does affect public perception of the game if they get to see some extremely shitty piece of shit full of story line spoilers. the problem is not really that its pirated but that it damages the hype.

Image result for witcher 3 visual downgrade

I didn't say they were Ubisoft, but there was a downgrade and fairly evident at that. They are not saints, they compromised for the sake of the motherfucking consoles.

Yeah, CDPR isn't perfect, though I still think they're probably way better than most on the AAA gaming scene.

Weird on that 2015 Gameplay trailer though. I know the game doesn't look quite as nice as the debut trailer, but I thought I remember the game still looking better than that screenshot of the 2015 video.

Actually my game looks better than the launch example too but I do have some texture mods and the game also received a visual upgrade since the Blood and Wine expansion/dlc

And yeah I know CDPR is better than most but in my opinion we should be critical of them too since they have shown steps that would definitively lead them to becoming a shit dev if left without criticism like this downgrade or their deal with Nvidia for gameworks.

My game looks a lot better than that. maybe that was on console?

I'm fine with worse graphics on systems that can't handle it, like consoles, but only if a dev allows systems with more power, like mine, to turn it up to trailer-level detail.

The point is that at least initially they didn't: While the Witcher 3 it's one of the best looking games out there it could have been pushed even further but they didn't want to leave the console versions in the dust.
