Vince "K|ngP|n" Lucido teased his new 1080 Ti K|ngP|n edition from EVGA today. Claiming " Almost time " and talks of it will be shown off at ComputeX that is at the end of the month in Taiwan.

Most KP cards come with uh, "leaked" programs that can OV past what Nvidia wants.

thats when you replace an bios by an custom bios and by default your warranty is neglected

so its not worth it unless you like to oc and show off on hwbot

1) You don't read well do you? you can use it on the stock bios, but due to power limits, It won't be very effective. Even with a ultra high power limit like 180%.

2) You argue the overclocking standpoint then you dismiss it. Why even discuss it then?

1= so you mean that if you replace the stock bios by an customised one you wont default the warranty?!

2= I see overclocking as an defective way to gain performance, im more of an stability user than, screw it lets add some volts to get unecessary small amounts of fps or score

1) I never said it wasn't, I said you could use the program without a bios mod. But you seem to be missing that point

the limit is 1.25v - we don't have cards that reach above 1.11v yet..

Its been awhile since the last kp cards but he used the titan x pascal, titan xp and 1080 ti all heavily modified of course to break records.

Considering I overclocked my 980ti to match a 1080 FE I would say OCing is totally worth it.

The 980tis worked were they sold the ASIC quality and you paid more for higher quality. But ASIC means almost nothing in terms of what type of OC you can get

I would disagree with that, seeing as I OC'ed my 1070 to match a 1080 FE (Defiantly great value there. Also default GPU BIOS is very conservative with voltage, no risk).

that is quite litteraly why this card exist.... i dont really know why you would think otherwise. its for slamming an LN2 pot on it and probably has easy as shit ways to bypass most of the NVIDIA saftey BS

Overclocking is the best, if you get a golden silicon chip it is amazing what you can achieve, my Maxwell Titan X is basically a 1080 at stock as well... reason why I skipped Pascal altogether.

The Galax 1080 Ti HOF Limited Edition 8 Pack Edition will always be better, the card is the best made on the market and no company surpasses Galax in overclocking etc
